Getting Started

Welcome to Graph Mason! We are going to build some great things together with just two components: bricks and mortar.

You can add bricks to the screen with the add brick button:

Pressing this button will add a new brick to the center of the screen. You move bricks by dragging them. You can select bricks by clicking on them.

To put mortar between bricks, select one brick then click another brick to connect it.

To unselect the brick, click on the background.

You can delete a brick by selecting it and clicking the delete brick button:

 Brick Tools

Every brick has it's own set of tools. You can use the checkboxes between the add brick and delete brick buttons to decide which tools are visible when a new node is created.

  • Check - A checkbox that can be used to mark the status of a node.
  • Status - A dropdown that can be used to track progress.
  • Tags - Nodes can be tagged for a variety of reasons such as which projects tasks are related to or to pass information to scripts.
  • Title - A single line of text.
  • Script - Added functionality that can be run directly from the node. These can do almost anything and can be purchased on the marketplace.
  • Text Area - A large text editor.
  • Graph Link - Link to another Graph Mason file that you have saved. You can quickly navigate between graphs.
  • CYOA - Choose Your Own Adventure. Let's you navigate between nodes in a generated form.
  • Info - Reveals information about the node (such as the node's ID number) which can be used to pass information to scripts.

When at least one node is selected, a toolbar will appear on the right that allows you to toggle between hiding and showing each of these tools.

Mouse Tools

You can choose the functionality of your mouse by selecting the mouse tools.

The move tool. Drag the background to move the graph window. The slider below the tool will adjust the speed.
